Like most kids, I enjoyed fairy tales when I was growing up. I'm not sure I always got the meaning behind them, but I liked hearing about girls who wore pretty dresses and got the prince, or who magically woke up after being kissed by the good guy who thrashed his way through brambles and thorns. But as an adult, I get it. I still like the good guy getting the girl. I still like the pretty dresses and romantic kisses. But I also like a bit more, well maturity in my fairy tales. Does Cinderella get her prince? Sure, but only after being schooled in sex by her fairy godfather. Does the heroine find the man who's "just right" for her? Yes, but not until she knows what it's like to have him in bed. How else was she to know?
So… That's the basis of the first two fairy tales I've written, The Cinderella Curse and Baer and the Three Goldilocks. Girl meets boy. Girl turns into princess (or guy becomes Prince—at last!), and they all live happily ever after. After a few romps between the sheets. Both books are on pre-order on Amazon. I hope you enjoy!
Not all men are princes—except to the women who love them!
One evening, in a land far away, a wife spins a fairy tale for the amusement of her husband. It's not your typical child's tale, of course, but an adult, erotic version of the classic, Cinderella.
All of the principals are present. Charlotte Gambrell immediately recognizes Prince Charming when she meets her boss, James Clarkson. Unfortunately, the worldly Clarkson barely knows she's alive. Charlotte's two hateful supervisors make her professional life miserable by piling on the work and never letting her forget that she has employment only at their pleasure.
Everything changes when Charlotte becomes part of a magazine shoot. The photographer, Cooper Hunt, agrees to perform duties as her fairy godfather. By day, he transforms her life by revealing to the world what he already knows, that Charlotte is an exquisite beauty. By night, he transforms her universe by teaching her about passion so she can attract her dream man, James. The “real” Cinderella never had it so good!
By the time Charlotte arrives at the ball, she has James on her mind and Cooper in her heart. Which man will prove to be her real Prince Charming?
had to kiss a lot of frogs to find a goldilocks "just right"
for a Baer!
Susan Baer, founder of Baer Hugs, health centers for women, longs to find her special someone. Sadly, there are no prospects in sight. Suddenly, three men come into her life. All successful, all gorgeous, all blond. And posing their own unique problems. One is too rough and hard in his treatment, one is too soft and wants her to take charge. The last is…well, let's just say he's unavailable. *sigh* Can any of them turn out to be “just right?”
A few years ago, Dee S. Knight began writing, making getting up in the morning fun. During the day, her characters killed people, fell in love, became drunk with power, or sober with responsibility. And they had sex, lots of sex.
After a while, Dee split her personality into thirds. She writes as Anne Krist for sweeter romances, and Jenna Stewart for ménage and shifter stories. All three of her personas are found on the Nomad Authors website (www.nomadauthors.com). Fortunately, Dee’s high school sweetheart is the love of her life and husband to all three ladies! Once a month, look for Dee’s Charity Sunday blog posts, where your comment can support a selected charity.
