There’s
nothing like a new release to get an author excited! I want to race
down the street, shouting “Sin City Sweethearts is live! Hurry and
get your copy of the hottest book I’ve ever written!”
Of
course I won’t. I’d be arrested, especially here in my
conservative adopted country. So all I can do is crow here on my
blog.
What
can I say to convince you to check the book out?
Sin
City Sweethearts is a barrel of honest, dirty fun. It’s not
a romance, but there’s a happy ending for every character (except
the Mafia goon from Jersey who’s threatening the hero). If you’ve
read the earlier Vegas Babes books, you can enjoy becoming
reaquainted with Annie, Ted, Miranda, and Joel, as well as the bevy
of warm-hearted (and bodied) strippers from The Fox’s Den. At the
same time, the book can stand alone―and there are lots of new
characters for you to meet, most importantly Marcella and Madeleine
McNabb, the sweethearts of the title.
Oh,
and it has a hilarious intro by Larry Archer, who invented The Fox’s
Den.
Here’s
the blurb and a brief excerpt to whet your appetite.
Blurb
Like
many newlyweds, Annie and Ted work hard, economize, live in a
too-small apartment, and make passionate love whenever possible.
They’re
just a bit more open-minded and inclusive about sex than most
couples—they
met at The Fox’s Den strip club and bonded during an orgy. They’re
delighted when fraternal twins Marcella and Madeleine McNabb move
into the apartment downstairs. The innocent eighteen year old
beauties have come to Las Vegas for university and to escape their
overprotective family. Annie and Ted figure it’s practically their
duty to educate the sisters about the real Sin City.
Marcie
and Maddy prove to be apt pupils, with voracious carnal appetites.
Before long they’re intimately involved not only with their
upstairs neighbors, but also their hippie landlord and landlady,
Maddy’s hunky coach, Marcie’s dominant department head, a handful
of their classmates, a bevy of strippers from the Den and the
infamous Foxy and Larry themselves. Then the four McNabb brothers
come to town, threatening to drag the twins back to Ely, and things
get truly wild.
Excerpt
Maddy
glanced around the apartment. “What a cute place!”
“It’s
a bit small for two.” Annie gestured at the cushions scattered
around the coffee table. “Not to mention for four. Hope you don’t
mind a bit of informality.”
Maddy
chuckled as she folded her legs and seated herself on the floor.
“Compared to our apartment, this is a palace.”
“Still,
we’re grateful to have found someplace we can afford, so close to
campus,” Marcie added as she settled across her sister, tucking her
legs beneath her and leaning her back against the sofa.
“And
Miranda and Joel seem great. They’ve been really helpful.”
As
if on cue, the doorbell rang. Ted threaded his way among the bodies
on the floor to go answer. Their pony-tailed landlord stood on the
deck outside, holding a plate piled high with fragrant cookies.
“Hi,
Joel,” said Ted. “We’d ask you in, but I think we’re at
capacity!”
“Never
mind. Miranda heard you were having a little party and baked these
for you. Her specialty, organic oatmeal raisin, fresh out of the
oven.”
“Mmm—
they smell fantastic. Thanks!”
“Our
pleasure. Hope you all enjoy them.” He nodded at their guests. “Hi,
girls! Have a fine evening.”
Marcie
flashed him a smile. He was probably as old as her grandpa, but there
was something about him that made her feel warm and tingly inside. He
must have been really sexy when he was young, she thought.
“Wine?”
Annie offered once Joel had left. “We have both red and white.
Orange juice and Pepsi, too, if you prefer.”
“I’d
love a glass of red.” Marcie felt daring and adult. Despite the
fact that the twins were of legal age, their parents wouldn’t let
them drink anything alcoholic.
“White
for me, please,” said her sister.
“And
I hope you like sushi—it seemed appropriate, since we have to eat
on the floor.”
Ted
handed Marcie a brimming glass of ruby liquid. In the process, his
fingers brushed hers, lingering a bit longer than would have been
natural. She gave him a sharp look. His dark eyes smoldered with some
intense, hidden emotion.
Is
he trying to hit on me? But he’s newly married, to a gorgeous
woman! Marcella glanced up at Annie, who was filling trays with
sushi over at the kitchen table and seemed not to notice anything
amiss. Then she checked out the crotch of Ted’s loose karate pants.
She thought she detected a definite bulge.
So
that was how it was. Marcie knew a horny guy when she saw one. He
was sexy, of course, but she knew getting involved with a
married man was a really bad idea. Still, her nipples knotted under
her dress, despite her alarm, and a tell-tale ache between her legs
indicated that her body, at least, was interested.
Conflicted
and uncertain, she turned to her sister for help.
Maddy
was drinking her wine in great gulps. “This is so delicious,” she
gushed. She sounded as though she was already a bit drunk.
“Maybe
you should slow down, Mad,” Marcie cautioned with a sigh. Maddy
seemed oblivious to what was going on.
“Don’t
worry,” said Annie. “We’ve got plenty of wine, and food too.”
Setting the platter of rice and fish on the low table, she turned to
Ted. “Don’t we, hon?”
To
Marcie’s shock, the redhead pulled her husband into a deep kiss
with lots of tongue. Meanwhile, she cupped his groin deliberately and
squeezed. Ted moaned into her mouth. Without breaking the kiss, he
slipped his hand inside the kimono to paw at her breast.
She
knows, Marcie realized. She knows he wants me. She’s
encouraging him! More confused than ever, she drained the rest of
her wine. A warm flush suffused her body. She felt light-headed, a
bit dizzy, and very, very turned on.
