Live It, Love It, Write It! (#ageplay #charity #daddydom)

By Breanna Hayse (Guest Blogger)

Hi, Ya’all!

Thank you so much for having me here today and allowing me to introduce myself and the slightly ‘different’ path I take to writing.

From my first publication in 2012 to now, I’ve put out over 55 titles—every one of them different, unique and with a special purpose. What’s that? As a BDSM lifestyler, I want my readers to be entertained but also trust they will get truth and reality of the BDSM/Age-Play/Total Power and Erotic Exchange lifestyle in my books. My hope is that they not only walk away entertained (and a little horny), but also wanting more.

I don’t think there’s a genre of erotica that I don’t enjoy writing; hence, I’ve developed an extensive collection that ranges from Historical Victorian to Science Fiction, Contemporary/Historical Westerns, Humor, Post-Apocalyptic, Fantasy and everything in between. My readers are smart (and a little sadistic) and don’t hesitate to let me know EXACTLY what they want—and I do my best to make them happy. My readers are everything to me and I strive to provide something for everyone. I’ve also published non-fiction pieces that share how I was introduced to the Age-Play lifestyle (The General’s Little Angel and A Little Play Day). In the spirit of paying it forward to my first Dom who not only blistered my tail, but saved my life, the proceeds from The General’s Little Angel have been donated to the National Coalition Against Domestic Violence.

I’m known best for my Age-Play books and my spanking/sex scenes. Each book has different heat levels appropriate for the story and always involve committed relationships, including those with multiple and/or same sex partners, consensual (except in horror/post-apop where the bad guy always gets his in the end—sometimes literally!), and have a strong story line that keeps the reader engaged and invested in the characters.

Warning—most of my readers say that they cry at the end and then spend the rest of the day looking like clowns because they can’t stop smiling.

The particular book I am highlighting today, Calliope’s Little Conquest, is the first of the Saddlesore Ranch series. It also holds a special part in my heart because of its origin. In my ‘vanilla’ life, I work as a pediatric hospice nurse and a pro-bono Veteran’s Administration therapist for those involved in alternative lifestyles. As a result, many of my characters and stories are inspired by my clients and their situations. About a year ago, I was working with a single HIV+ mom who was dealing with extensive custody issues because of her disease. She introduced me to Hope for Tomorrow, a recovery center in Illinois who had helped her and so many others and asked me to write a book that would share the struggle that she endured.

So, I did.

All my books have HEA, regardless of the underlying theme. Finding the HEA in this one, however, was a struggle. It wasn’t until I attended her funeral earlier this year that I knew what was needed. I watched the love and support that the members of the LGBT community gave to her sister and four-year old son. They held nothing back in showing their love. They stepped in to repair her house, donated legal assistance, bought groceries, and became aunts and uncles to the little boy. I’ve also never seen so many Build-A-Bears in my life!

Calliope needed a village to help her come to terms with the things in her life. Having a Daddy Dom gave her the love and confidence she needed to push forward, but the extended family that consisted of characters from many of my previous contemporary BDSM books, gave her the strength of hope.

The first month’s proceeds from Calliope’s Little Conquest will be donated to Hope for Tomorrow. This charity operates safe, nurturing facilities for adults suffering from psychological and/or substance abuse issues. I will also donate fifty cents from the ongoing sales for every comment/review the readers leave on the purchase venues, this post, twitter, or other social media. Just point it out to me! Words have power—and this type of power can give a little boy or girl some hope for tomorrow.

With all of this, we come to the question:

What's a Daddy-Dom to do when he discovers that his little girl has been keeping a dirty little secret?

In Calliope’s Little Conquest, Calliope Wharton has made a lot of mistakes in her life, including running away from home. She comes face-to-face with a life-changing consequence and is forced to return to her family in the little town of Bandara, Texas and gears herself to face conflict and judgment for her actions. She is shocked to find not only love and acceptance, but an unwanted romance that involves a close family friend, Tanner Perkins.

Tanner, the owner of the new Saddlesore Ranch and BDSM resort, has a gift. He can sense a submissive heart from a mile away. So, when Callie suddenly appears after a three-year absence, he is immediately on the alert. Whether she likes it or not, he sets his mind on helping the wayward girl make some necessary changes in her life.

Tanner not only trains horses and their riders, but he also knows how to tame a wild filly, and the lesson often starts with a trip over his knee. What he didn't expect was Callie bringing out his 'Daddy Dom'. He introduces her to the nurturing love of the age-play dynamic and teaches her how to laugh and play once again. Little by little, he woos Callie into 'tasting' the delicacies of his lifestyle and a place of healing.

Although aware of the relationship Callie had shared with a man of her past, Tanner is ill-prepared when that same man appears at their door and exposes a secret that the girl had shared with no-one. Caught between her new-found love for Daddy Tanner and her obligation to the man who saved her life, Callie is at a crossroads. Does she embrace this new lifestyle and risk the loss of the one person she has loved more than life itself?

Her quandary increases when she meets several of Tanner's old friends, including Dorian and Meredith Graye (The WhipMaster), and Layton, Caine and May Marshall (Two Guardians for Little May/Dr. Daddy Dom). These, and many others who live the BDSM dynamic, come together and show Callie that it takes a loving and formidable army, and a strong-willed Daddy Dom, to raise a Little Girl.

This standalone is the first the Saddlesore Ranch series and includes spanking of adult women and explicit adult sexual encounters.

Excerpt

Tanner’s confession to cheating meant that the game was on. To keep things fair, they both kept a record of the number of strokes to get the ball in the hole, but other than that, all rules went out the window. She caught him with several green balls stuffed into his front pockets that he innocently insisted were ‘anatomical.’ Snorting, Callie wrestled one out of his pants and, in the process, encouraged the emergence of his true anatomy! Reddening, she pulled her hand out of his pocket and turned away as he adjusted himself.

You act like you’ve never been around men before. These things are unavoidable when a pretty girl gets too close and starts feeling around. It’s not your fault you woke him up.”

Stop gloating and tell that thing to go back to sleep. I’m here to play with these balls and these alone.” She held up a yellow golf ball.

Where did you get that? Your color is pink.”

She quickly pulled a pink ball out of her bra. “It is pink. You’re color blind.”

You’re bad.”

Yeah, and what are you going to do about it?” she asked saucily, sauntering over to the hole and absently kicking his ball out of the way.

Oh… if only she knew when she asked that question!!!

About Breanna Hayse

So what makes me, well, me?

I’m a native Californian gone 'wild', and had the opportunity to travel the globe and discover the world through the eyes of both a Marine Intelligence specialist and a BDSM lifestyler. I left the service to go into hospice nursing and grief counseling, eventually working as a marriage and family therapist for those involved in alternative lifestyle development. This experience has allowed me to gain unique inspiration for my books and provide realistic plots and relatable characters.

In 2004, my husband, John, and I joined forces to work with both submissives and dominants- teaching, training, listening and loving. Our goal was to take the mystery and fear out of the lifestyle and mentor people in safe, consensual and healthy relationships.

My first book, The Game Plan, was published in 2012 and opened the door to the now-booming world of Age-Play literature. Since that time, I’ve devoted my ‘spare’ time to writing, researching, community involvement, and private and group pro bono counseling in deviant behavior, alternative lifestyle, and addiction recovery.

I was formally ‘dungeon trained’ as a Domme before discovering my submissive side when I joined the service. My scenarios are pulled primarily from either personal experience or observation, including spending time in clubs as the safety/medical officer. My multi-faceted background allows me to glean from many avenues and provides a unique and intelligent literary experience through elements of fantasy and fiction. I also address the questions and psychology of the lifestyle in a manner that is fun and informative, and based on 'the real deal'.

I live with my husband, musician, and fellow-author, John Hayse, and two border collies in southern California. We practice a 24/7 D&S relationship with speckles of AP (and many trips to Build-A-Bear), and happily spend every moment together that we can. My hobbies include my puppies, hiding my vanilla salt-water taffy where John can't find it, exotic art, collecting inspirational trinkets, and developing my own paddle line. You can also see me as a featured author/instructor in professional conference settings and as a Sexpert for kinkyliterature.com.
