Readers Make the Book

By Willa Edwards (Guest Blogger)

A lot of people ask writers where they come up with their ideas. For me, they come from all over. Sometimes I read a book and an idea from a secondary character or even a small description can send me spinning with a new idea. Sometimes it’s a movie or TV show that employed something that I can see ending up in a story or that gets my mind turning in a new direction. And sometimes it’s just random things that happen in real life, on the way to the grocery store or at work.

For Owned Forever, the idea to write this book came from my readers.

To really understand where this idea came from I have to start with first book in the series. When I first wrote Owned For Christmas I had no intention of writing another story. It was just a fun Christmas idea that came to me while watching a cheesy romantic comedy. In the movie a women went home for Christmas and ran into an old beau. By the end of the movie ex wasn’t in his title anymore.

I loved the idea. We all run into some awkward experience when we go home for the holidays, but to crank up the uneasiness of the interaction, I figured my heroine shouldn’t go to her own home, but someone else’s. And why would she be going there, well of course she’d be going home with her current boyfriend for the holidays. And what would she find…her ex-Dom. Pretty awkward, right?

But as I wrote the story it evolved. The conflict expended from the two guys to be more about Kate, my heroine, accepting her true submissive nature. As a result the scenes with her ex-Dom, Grant, expanded, and her time spent with the two guys or her vanilla lover, Daniel, diminished, caving to the direction of the story and the inner turmoil.

Unfortunately for a lot of readers, that meant they didn’t get to know Daniel well enough to love him the way I do (and I do love Daniel tremendously, he’s got such a quirk sense of humor and go with the flow attitude, not to mention ripped abs, I would have trouble not taking him home myself). When a reader mentioned she wanted to see more of Daniel and his struggle with joining in with a ménage relationship, the wheels in my head started turning, and Owned Forever was born.

Owned Forever delves into many of the issues and conflicts I didn’t have time to touch on in Owned For Christmas, and a few that didn’t even arrive back on that snowy Christmas night. This story highlights Daniel a great deal more, and his issues with their new relationship, while also showing of his funny sense of humor and devotion to his family and Kate.

At this point I have no plans to write another story for these three fantastic characters. But if the readers keeping giving such amazing inspiration, I may not have a choice. After all, I’m a slave to my muse and the reader. When they work together, I’m done for.

I hope you’ll check out my newest release, Owned Forever, now available with Totally Bound Publishing, inspired by my amazing readers. And to read the beginning of Grant, Kate and Daniel’s story, check out Owned For Christmas. While both books can be read on their own, just like most other things in life, they are better in twos.

Owned Forever Blurb

Two sets of in-laws, a Dom with the need to assert his power, a fiancée with an inferiority complex and a country chic wedding to throw. What could go wrong?

For the last six months, Kate, Daniel and Grant have been living blissfully in Colorado. But that’s all about to come to an end. They’re opening up the ranch and their relationship to outsiders—Kate’s parents. While her future mother-in-law has adapted well to their unconventional relationship, Kate knows her parents won’t feel the same. At her insistence, the whole Farrell crew agrees to keep the true nature of their relationship a secret—at least from her parents—for the whole wedding weekend.

Stretched thin, Kate tries to be everything for everyone. The enthusiastic bride, the good daughter, the diligent sub that’s always under the control of her Master and the affectionate fiancé that wants nothing more than to be married. But with everyone’s needs weighing her down, eventually Kate snaps under the pressure.

In one quick moment of need, their secret is out of bag, and it’s not just her parents that feel betrayed. Can Kate convince all the people she loves to accept and participate in this untraditional wedding party, or will her needs doom her relationships for good?

Who knew Happily Ever After would be this hard!

Publisher's Note: This story is a continuation of Kate, Grant and Daniel’s relationship from Owned For Christmas by Willa Edwards. It is best read in sequence but can be read as a standalone.

Excerpt

When are your parents arriving?” Gale spread a sheet across the prickly surface of the bales of hay set up across the open yard in a circle for seating. The better for their guest’s comfort.

Kate surveyed the field before her. It still amazed to her how much the place had changed since she’d first arrived. This field that had been covered with three feet of snow back at Christmas time, was now filled with swaying grasses and bright Columbines. It really was beautiful here.

This would be the perfect place for a wedding.

It may have taken a few months and the melting of three tons of snow, but Kate now understood why people loved living in this area—why her two men loved it here so much and felt so connected to this land. And amazingly, she felt the same. She couldn’t imagine ever moving back to Dallas. No matter what her parents said.

They’ll be here tomorrow at ten. They’re on the last possible plane coming into Grand Junction from Dallas before the ceremony.” Kate tried to keep the resentment from her voice, but she didn’t succeed. She loved her future mother-in-law. Gale was fantastic. Kate still had trouble believing she’d accepted her relationship with both her sons so easily. Not to mention all she’d done to help with Kate’s wedding to her younger son, Daniel.

She still wished she was picking floral arrangements, assembling favors and decorating pews with her own mother.

I got them a room at the Country Side Inn.” It was the best hotel for miles. Though Kate doubted it was up to her mother’s standards.

They’ll like it there.”

I hope so.” That’s the only way Kate wouldn’t hear about how awful the hotel was for the next ten years, like her parent’s trip to Maui seven years ago, that they always brought up at Thanksgiving.

Are you planning on telling them everything?” Gale looked up at Kate from where she arranged ribbons around the edge of the bales, creating an aisle down the center toward the arch Grant had built.

You mean about the fact that I’m really in a relationship with two men? That I’m marrying one and sleeping with both of them?” Kate looked over at the woman who was to be her official mother-in-law in only two days. “Are you asking if I plan to tell them that?”

Gale cast Kate a sour look. She had made her opinion obvious many times before, but she didn’t know Kate’s parents. Kate’s mother was ready to have her checked into a psych ward for giving up a good job in the city—though her teaching position hadn’t become a good job to her mother until the other option was no job at all—and moving out to the country for some hick. Kate could contemplate what her parents would say if they knew she hadn’t come out here for one country hick, but for two.

Not everyone is as understanding as you are, Gale.” Kate still couldn’t believe how lucky they’d been with Gale—how understanding she was, how accepting. From the moment she’d discovered their three-way relationship, Gale hadn’t ever made her feel insane or immoral for the loving both of her sons. It’s more than Kate would have ever expected. “My parents aren’t as open-minded as you are.”

I’m not that understanding, dear. I just want my boys to be happy. I see how happy you make them.” Gale looked up, her warm honey-brown eyes twinkling, and Kate smiled.

How every member of this family managed to make her feel welcome and included always surprised her.

I’m sure your parents want the same thing for you. Once they see how happy those boys make you, they’ll accept the three of you together too.”

Kate shook her head. A part of her believed Gale was right. That her parents really did want her to be happy. But they’d never conveyed it well in the past. And her wedding didn’t seem the right time to put them to the test.

She still remembered the way her mother used to talk about her teaching position to her high-society friends, the note of disdain in her mother’s tone. Teaching kindergartners was not the prestigious career Margo Baker wanted for her daughter. And she had no doubt Daniel wasn’t the high-society husband she’d envisioned for Kate either.

Kate didn’t care what her mother thought. She’d made her decision. She had no desire to go back—to Dallas, to the quiet desperation or to the need for more that had almost eaten her alive.

But she couldn’t stand the idea that her parents would berate Daniel with their undercutting words and quiet insults. Not to mention how they’d act if they found out it wasn’t just Daniel she stayed in Colorado for, but Grant as well.

You’d be surprised, honey, what lengths a parent will go to for their child. They might not always show it in the way you wish, but I’m sure they’re doing what they think is best for you.”

Kate nodded. They probably were. They just didn’t have any idea what was best for her. They always thought what was best for them was best for her. For twenty-eight years, she’d tried and failed to live that way too. She didn’t regret making this change for herself, even if her parent’s never approved.

One day, you’ll see for yourself.”

Kate rolled her eyes. Gale had been tossing off a lot of comments like that lately. But it would be a while before Kate had any serious experience with parenthood, no matter what Gale might desire.

Exploring Through Romance

By Willa Edwards (Guest Blogger)

The hero and heroine of my newest release, Valentine Next Door, explore the world in very different ways. Jeremy is a nature photographer. He travels to exotic locations taking pictures of their native sites. From a mama tiger and her cubs in wilds of India to a sunset over the Sahara, he explores the world and brings it back to everyone through his photographs. Miranda, on the other hand, explores the world through books and stories. She’s the school librarian, and lives by the old adage, that every book opens a new adventure.

Personally I resemble Miranda’s version of exploration much more than Jeremy’s. I’ve had some of my own adventures. I’ve traveled to some great places, changed careers and even lived in several dramatically different places. But I’ve still traveled to a million more places—some that don’t even exist—through books. And I also get to explore the world from an even deeper level, through the research and writing of my books.

Writing romance allows me to live in many different places, experience working a several different jobs, without having to leave my desk. I can also explore all kinds of different types of relationships, from BDSM love to ménages, and all the way to the sweet and sensual love of a couple like Miranda and Jeremy. I can delve into issues and concerns I might not have experience myself, but may exist beyond my world, like dating a man ten years younger or having a child on your own, like Miranda deals with.

There are some nice benefits to exploring life through my writing. For one, I can write about someone tripping and falling in a pile of rhino dung (yes this does happen in one of my books) without, thankfully, having to do it myself. I can experience the heartbreak Miranda feels at having to decide between the man she loves, and the family she desires, without my own heart breaking (though my heart does break for Miranda and the pain she deals with). And I get to open up these worlds, and let my readers in to explore with me.

I love my job. I love being able to write about all these different places, different people and different issues. Though I’d like to explore more the world beyond the pages of a book (I don’t know that I could ever get to all the places I’d want to visit and see in this lifetime), I love being able to explore the world in a different way, through the beautiful characters I meet and the fantastic romances that unfold between them.

And I hope you’ll explore with me, and take a look at my newest release Valentine Next Door, now available with Totally Bound Publishing. Read an excerpt below and find out more about Jeremy and the sexy librarian he lusts after living right next door, Miranda.

Blurb

Jeremy Callahan has been in love with his next door neighbor, Miranda Valentine, since he was fifteen years old. As a teen he used to watch her, fantasizing about how he could make her his. But he never acted on it. Miranda was older, married and out of his league. Forced to return home ten years later after being injured on a photo shoot, all those old feelings return, and this time there's no reason to keep them at bay. She might be a decade older than him, but Jeremy's not about to let a few numbers stand in his way.

Since her husband's death, Miranda's been left with a big hole in her life. Never able to fulfil her dream to be a mom, Miranda isn't sure what to do with herself. She certainly isn't expecting to find the most gorgeous man she's ever met next door. She can't believe Jeremy Callahan is that sexy younger man, or that he's had a crush on her for years. When he kisses her, all bets are off. Jeremy's young, gorgeous and makes her feel more than anyone has before.

But she knows he can't want the same things she does. He can't be ready to settle down and start a family, but she's running out of time. Will her dream of being a mother keep her from the man she loves? Or can they find some middle ground where they both can get everything they want?

Excerpt

“You need to get out of there, buddy,” Brett declared.

Jeremy huffed into the phone. He didn’t need his best friend to tell him that. He’d been back in his childhood bedroom for three weeks now, while the damn bone in his leg healed. Being waited on by his mom, unable to even leave the house, was driving him stir-crazy. After years of moving from place to place searching out the next great photo, sitting still was taking a serious toll on his mental state.

“Are you offering to let me stay at your place?”

“Fuck no. I like you, dude, but not that much.” Brett chuckled into the phone. “I’m not giving you a sponge bath.”

They both laughed. Best friends since elementary school, they’d done a lot for each other, but they had their limits.

“I can bathe myself, dude.” It required a plastic garbage bag and a few strips of duct tape, but he could do it. “I’m not that handicapped. I just couldn’t get up and down the stairs to my place.” His third-floor walkup in the city had seemed cool and Bohemian before his injury. Once he healed, he’d be looking for a new apartment in a high rise with a doorman and an elevator. Maybe a condo in a neighborhood that would be good for families.

He’d been thinking a lot about the future since his injury, not that he’d admit it to his buddy. Maybe it was the staying still, or maybe it was the injury itself, but the call of the road had tamed down to a gentle breeze. The idea of coming home to someone was starting to sound appealing. If it was the right person.

“Isn’t there somewhere you can go for a little while? Just for a break.” Papers rustling echoed over the phone.

Brett must be at work. The man worked from dawn to midnight some nights. Not that Jeremy could say much. He put in a lot of hours at his job too. But at least it wasn’t in an office.

Jeremy knocked his fist against the cast on his right foot. “Can’t drive with this thing, and I won’t get far walking.” All he could do was sit and think. About everywhere he’d been and where he might be going next. He’d never been much of a thinker. He was a doer. Whenever he’d seen what he wanted, he’d gone after it. Now, all he could do was spin his mind in circles.

“There’s got to be something you can do,” his friend declared.

But the words didn’t register with Jeremy. All he heard was the slam of a door. He stilled. His heart sped up and his cock perked to attention. It was a sound he knew well. A sound he’d waited for so often as a teenager and had now begun to anticipate each night since returning home. It was one of the few joys he had since he’d been stuck back in his childhood bedroom.

Next door, Mrs Valentine, the school librarian and the star of his every adolescent fantasy and most of his adult ones, shut her front door. He held his breath, waiting for her to walk through the house to her bedroom that stood across the small twenty-foot lawn from his own.

“Mrs Valentine’s home,” he whispered, even though, logically, he knew she couldn’t hear him through the walls of two houses.

“Are you fucking kidding me, dude? Mrs Valentine?”

Brett groaned, and Jeremy understood his pain. Just the thought of Mrs Valentine had Jeremy’s balls tightening and his dick hard.

“You were always the luckiest shit in school to live next to her.” Brett’s voice rumbled in his ear.

The sound distracted Jeremy—momentarily—from the beautiful sight before him. Jeremy wasn’t the only one who’d had a crush on the school librarian.

Ending with a Bang

By Willa Edwards (Guest Blogger)

I’ve always found endings to be the most important part of a book (most important part of a bunch of other stuff too, but I won’t get into that now). As a reader, if a book doesn’t end the right way (a.k.a. the way I want to) it can be very disappointing for me. If the hero doesn’t get the girl, or mystery is solved without enough build up, it can change my entire view of the book. Nothing frustrates me more than a plot line that goes unfinished, besides maybe one that gets to easily wrapped up, can sour my entire opinion about a book.

It is due to this belief that I work very hard on the endings for my books. I want the readers to be satisfied by how the story ends. I do try to leave wanting more, like the next book. But I also want every story line from that book to be tied up, and the reader to be left with a warm feeling. After all that’s what I write romance to feel, that warm loved feeling.

So for my most recent release, Dirty Work, I put even more pressure on myself to finish this book with a bang. Since this book is the last in my Naughty Holiday List series. Not only was I writing the ending of this story, which I prize, but the end of an entire series. I really wanted to end this series with a special bang, since it is such a special collection to me. This series started my publishing career, and I learned so much from writing them. I wanted to give the characters that I have come to love all the happy endings they deserved, without being so sappy sweet that everyone who read it got a few new cavities. I wanted it to sound real, like it could actually happen to any of us.

What I decided to do was write an epilogue that summed up all the stories in the series. It’s a quick four or five pages, but gives every couple their due. This is the only book in the series I have added an epilogue to, but I felt it was fitting with this final installment. This epilogue is my love letter to those who have read all the books of the series. I hope all those who have enjoyed the other Naughty Holiday List series books, and even those that have just read Giselle and Garrett’s story, will enjoy this fitting end for a series that has meant so much to me.

Below is an excerpt from the beginning of my newest release Dirty Work. To find out how it ends…well you’ll have to buy the book for that!

In honor of October being Breast Cancer Awareness month, and to celebrate the release of Dirty Work I’ll be donating one dollar for every comment I get on my blog between now and Oct 31st, to the National Breast Cancer Foundation. Please stop by, leave a comment, and help me provide mammograms to women in need.

If you want to find out more information about how you can help provide mammograms to those in need, or find out more about preventing and diagnosing breast cancer you can go to

As her friend's wedding approaches, Giselle Rossini feels more discouraged than ever. She's not where she wanted to be in life. She loves her job, but longs for something else to fill her days.

When she walks into her ex-sweetheart Garrett at her school, declaring he's the new auto shop teacher and he wants her back, Giselle finds her last refuge quickly vanishing. Years ago she loved Garrett, but all he did was break her heart and prove to her men are all the same.

Garrett Montgomery never stopped loving Giselle. And now he's back, determined to work his way into her life. He's not surprised Giselle isn't ready to welcome him back into her arms, but he'll do anything to earn her trust again. Garrett's never been afraid of a little hard work, especially when it includes some dirty talking and getting naughty in the backseat of a car.

But can he break through Giselle's perfect impregnable shell and into her heart, or will the labor be too much for him to withstand?

Story Excerpt
Garrett?”
That’s right, darlin’.” He smiled that wicked, devastating grin that had always been her downfall, his deep Southern drawl enough to melt any woman’s panties, and he certainly had hers, many times. Just as she always remembered him, he had a smudge of motor oil across his forehead and along his chin. He always got the stuff all over himself. Which only made him look sexier.

He took a step closer to her, invading her space. His spicy, familiar scent of motor oil and aftershave swirled around her, and her heart sped up a bit. She knew she should step away, run, flee. Anything to escape Garrett and the emotions he’d stir up in her. But she couldn’t move. Her feet were frozen to the cement auto shop floor.

He traced a knuckle down her cheek, her skin tingling beneath his touch. “It’s been too long, sweetheart.” His thumb smoothed over her bottom lip, his eyes focused down on her mouth. “I’ve missed you.”

As if his words broke some kind of spell over her, Giselle stepped back, severing the connection of their bodies.

Her head swam and her heartbeat sped up. How could this be? How could Garrett be here? After all these years. After all this time. Why would he come back now? Today of all days.

What are you doing here, Garrett?” She crossed her arms over her chest, using the small gesture as another barrier between their bodies.

He smiled. “I’m getting ready for my first class. What are you doing here?” He cocked an eyebrow at her, but the smile on his face remained.

You’re the new shop teacher?” Giselle focused on breathing, when he nodded in return. The reality of it slammed into her like a ton of bricks. She’d have to see him every day, walking through the halls, talking to the kids, working on the cars in this shop. He’d come into the teacher’s lounge with dirt under his fingernails and grease on his face. Leaving her in a permanent state of confusion.

Garrett, what are you doing here? Why did you get a job at my school?” She took another step back, trying her best to appear casual, and not like she was running away. Which, of course, she wasn’t. But being close to Garrett had always been confusing. That’s how she’d gotten into the trouble before. That’s how she’d allowed him to push past her defenses.

My daddy passed a few months ago.” He looked down, pushing his hands into his pockets. The sadness in the small gestures was apparent. Garrett loved his father. They’d been very close, even when they lived hours apart.

I’m sorry to hear that. Hayden was a great man.”

Garrett nodded. He looked up at her. His sad eyes staring right into hers, pulling at her heart so hard it was difficult to breathe. The urge to walk up to him and wrap her arms around his neck, to pull him close, to do anything to erase the sadness in his eyes, battled through her system.

Damn it! She hated that! She didn’t want to feel any more emotion for this man. She certainly didn’t want to feel bad for him. He was the one that tricked her, the one that broke his promises and left her to pick up the mess.

I made him a promise,” Garrett continued, unaware of her internal struggles, “on his deathbed that I’d go after the girl I’d been pining for all these years.” He took a step closer, filling in the distance between them in one long stride.

Giselle took a deep breath, her knees knocking together. The urge to flee filled her, but she fought it back. She wouldn’t run from him like a scared rabbit. Not this time. She wouldn’t give him the satisfaction.

I never stopped thinking about you, Dixie.” He extended one finger to smooth across her cheek. Heat flared beneath his touch and the desire to melt into him, like two metals fused by his welder, flamed inside her.

He stepped closer, until their bodies just brushed against each other. His warmth called to a place deep inside her. “I never stopped loving you, Dixie. All these years.”

His rich, chocolate eyes focused on her, warm and sweet. Those eyes had always been her undoing. One look from him and she’d forgive everything.

I’ve come back for you, baby. And this time I’m not leaving without a fight.”

Why Writers and Cats Get Along So Well

By Willa Edwards

Lisabet and I have many things in common. We love and write very sexy books, some BDSM and ménage stories. And we also love our cats. Today I thought I’d talk about our other loves.

Cats and writers go hand in hand, like peanut butter and jelly, or tuna and cheese. You only have to type the words cat and writer into Google and it will bring up a hundred sites of writers talking about their cats, pictures about authors with their cats, even cats talking about their author human caregivers.

I think the reason writers and cats get along so well is because we’re so similar. We have a lot of the same foibles, personality traits and behaviors.

We’re interested in everything. From the light and shadows reflected across the ceiling to the physics behind time travel and the type of socks eighteenth century men wore. Everything that comes in front of us we find interesting, until we’ve decided it can be of no use to us and then we neglect it like last week’s trash.

We live on crazy schedules. We take a nap in the middle of the day, and stay up till three am writing that scene. We live in our time, on our own schedules, and don’t see the need to change for the real world (except for us poor writers who need to go to a day job).

We’re always watching, observing, internalizing. You might think you’re just having a nice time outside, enjoying a day with your friends, but we’re on the other side of the window, watching and one day one of your conversations may end up in our books.

We go crazy over the weirdest things. You may think that’s just a bottle cap, an old shoe lace or a fluffy human interest story on the news, but we think it’s our new favorite toy or great new plot point.

We may seem aloof, but we’re actually quietly plotting. The story for our next book, or a scheme to take down the neighbor’s dog, you’ll only know after it’s all done.

We love rediscovering old toys. Whether it’s the catnip filled mouse that rolled under the couch three weeks ago and we forgot about, or the great idea we wrote in the corner of notebook years ago, we love rediscovering treats we’ve abandoned and seeing the new potential in them.

We can go long periods of time without going outside or seeing other humans. Who needs the outdoors, with all those dogs and their droppings, there’s no wifi access out there. And who needs other humans when we’ve got the cast of characters in our heads.

We can remain focused on the same thing for long periods of time. Yes to you it might seem like only a flash of light or a mostly empty computer screen, but we see all the potential it has to offer, and we’re going to sit there for hours trying to find it.

We’re always chasing that light of inspiration, that little red light of inspiration. Sometimes we catch it quick, sometimes we have to chase it for hours, and sometimes it gets lost high above our heads, but we’re always chasing it.

We’re independent thinkers. No way we’re going to kowtow to what others have said can be done. Can’t jump from the counter to the top of the cabinets, we’ll make it happen. Can’t write a romance that’s six hundred pages, or write about vampires that sparkle, we’ll find a way. No one’s going to tell us what to do.

And of course…

If you bother us at just the wrong time, when we’ve decided to give ourselves a nice tongue bath or when we’ve just found inspiration for the scene that’s been bothering us for weeks, watch out. You’re likely to get scratched bloody and hear an awful lot of screeching.

As you can see, writers and cats are like two peas in a pod, or two tunas in a can. We have the same need for time and space, the same independence, and the same ability to be cuddly and sweet one minute and fierce the next. So any cats out there reading this, and I’m sure there are a few, if you have the ability, adopt a writer. We’ll be the best friend you never knew you wanted (and we’re easily trained, just swat us with your nails a few times, we’ll get it).

Snow Day

Blurb

Michaela is thrilled to get home after the tense drive from work on the snow covered highway. And she may be just a little bitter that her boyfriend and teacher, Ben, spent all day in bed, on a snow day from school.

But she's relieved to be let out of work at least a few hours early. That is until she hears noises from her bedroom, that in no way resemble monster trucks or football announcements, and sound way too close another woman's moan.

Michaela can't help but investigate. She never could have guessed what she finds in her bedroom would be just as stimulating to her as it is for Ben. With a little bit of sexy help, Michaela plans to show Ben exactly who he belongs too, and make him wish every day could be a snow day.

Heart’s Ultimatum

Blurb

Krista Matthews has been in love with James for two years, but he's never mentioned commitment. After she plans him the ultimate naughty Valentine’s Day surprise, and he doesn't say those three magical words, she knows it’s time to move on. She may be plushy and curvy, but she still deserves someone who loves her for all she is.

Wounded by the past, James Peterson became principal at a new school to escape his mistakes. What he never anticipated was meeting someone as amazing as Krista. She fits him in every way—except her need for a ring. When she dishes out a Valentine's Day ultimatum, give her more or end their relationship, all those old fears come racing back. Does James have the courage to face his past for the woman he loves? Or will he lose her on principal?

Heart's Ultimatum

Adult Excerpt

The moist tip of his cock rubbed along the sensitive engorged lips of her pussy, stealing all her worries with its tantalizing brush. He teased and tortured her with his slow, methodical movements.

“I could never want anyone the way I want you.” His voice was low, primal, demanding, and her body surged with life from his rough words. If only he could say words of love instead of lust they could do this until they both were too old and gray to care who saw them.

Krista bit her lip so hard she tasted the metallic tang of blood on her tongue, but she didn’t care. She’d bite through her arm if it prevented her from screaming out, from begging James to slam into her hard and fast. She’d do anything to prevent herself from telling him again those words she desperately wanted to hear from his lips.

But she didn’t have to beg. It was only moments before James positioned himself against her slick cunt and slammed deep inside her. He plunged into her, so fast and hard it hurt a little, but it felt so damn good Krista feared she might pass out. He was so thick and hot and hard inside her, it overwhelmed all her other senses.

Krista leaned her forehead against the cool Formica countertop, needing to ground herself in the moment. Feeling too much like a hot air balloon filled with all the love she felt for James, the pleasure he gave her clouded her mind until she forgot the rest of the world. Her entire being focused on his cock buried deep inside her. His arms wrapped around her, right where they were supposed to be. Her insecurities floated away like smoke from a candle flame.

“How can you give this up, Kris?” he groaned into her ear as he pulled out of her and slammed back in.

She wanted to argue with him. She wanted to scream at him she wasn’t the one giving up anything. He’s the one who’d thrown in the lingerie, who’d sacrificed everything they had. But his demanding, dizzying rhythm stole her breath and her wits. She gripped the edge of the counter as his speed multiplied, his body slamming into her so hard, as if he wanted to imprint the memory.
