Sex, Love and Redemption – #EroticRomance #Spanking #Menage @PiaManning3

Coming Home cover

By Pia Manning (Guest Blogger)

Is there such a thing as redemptive sex? Sure, mind-blowing orgasmic sex can make ya smile and feel real-l-l-ly good, but that’s not what I’m talking about here. Can sex help change someone for the better? Make them want to do the right thing?

Let’s revisit Ashley and Deke, side characters from Caveman Creek Bk1. A bitch of the brightest magnitude, Ashley has elevated rudeness to an art form. Her temper tantrums are the things of legend. During Pinecone Creek’s annual summer picnic, Ashley, in the midst of a temper tantrum, flung a handful of coleslaw at her husband, Deke.

Ashley soon realized she hadn’t just edged a toe over that ‘do not cross’ line with Zeke, she’d taken a giant leap over it.

Ashley and Deke have what some might call a domestic discipline type marriage. Ashley knows deep down that her way of doing things is making her unhappy. And a pariah. No one - except Deke - wants anything to do with her. She asked Deke to take control in order to tame her tendency give in to her outrageous impulses

So, what was Deke’s response to the coleslaw incident? Well, he dragged her home and blistered her ass. (Hairbrush for those of you who need to know.)

Caveman Creek 2 finds Ashley in the midst of an epiphany – rude bitchiness = really unpleasant consequences. That said, her fear of Deke’s wrath hadn’t been enough to prevent her from ruining his shirt.

So, you have to wonder what would be enough to make Ashley think before acting?

When Ashley finally realizes that meanness has victims, Deke responds to her with pride in his wife and rewards her with mind- blowing sex.

Yeah. Okay. Sex has been used to reward and punish for ages. Centuries maybe. So why is it working with Ashley? I’m just guessing here, and maybe we should ask Ashley for her take on this, but I think the real answer lies with Deke.

Deke is a man who pays attention to his woman. He knows when she’s had enough ‘reminding’. His hope is that Ashley will move beyond the obvious, nastiness = painful consequences, and will want to do the right thing because it’s, well, the right thing to do.

When Ashley trusts Deke enough to ask for his help, he rewards his wife with not just sex, but love and support. Granted, his methods might not be for everyone, but he listens. Deke takes her concerns seriously and tries to give her the help she needs. In short, Deke loves his woman. And isn’t love what we all want?

Thank you, Lisabet, for having me today! Part of the fun of writing about life in Pinecone Creek is being able to share a few sneak peeks into the characters with readers.

Hi, Pia!

So sorry I wasn't around to welcome you yesterday. I thoroughly agree with you, that sex can be redemptive and healing. Indeed, I think that D/s relationships particularly are prone to this, because dominance and submission go deeper than just the physical sex.
