By L.K. Below (Guest Blogger)

Hello, everyone! As a writer of erotic romance, among other things, I’m very pleased to introduce to you my latest release -- and my latest contest!

Blurb: Jack is smart. Jack is charming. Jack is persistent.

But Melissa is dead certain that he isn't the guy for her. In a moment of weakness caused by his shiver-inducing voice, Melissa finally agrees to one date. She shows up on his doorstep determined to get it over and done with, but Jack has something different planned. With a home-cooked meal, wine, and cinnamon-scented candles, can he break down Melissa's resolve? Can he steal her heart?

Crossing the Distance

By L.K. Below (Guest Blogger)

Long distance relationships can be difficult. At one point, the question arises -- should one of you move to be closer to the other? And if so, who?

In my contemporary romance, Stone Cold Kiss, Kelsey Donovan is faced with this exact problem. When she flies to Ireland to kiss the Blarney Stone, a relationship is the last thing on her mind. But as she’s dangling off the parapet of Blarney Castle, clinging to the bars for dear life, Seamus saunters into her life. Kelsey battles her attraction to him, quoting to herself all the reasons they would never work out -- not the least because she’s very dedicated to her job.

But Seamus isn’t so willing to let her walk away. Rather, he tries his best to convince her to move to Ireland. He isn’t willing to move away from his extensive family -- but Kelsey doesn’t want to give up the job she’s always dreamed of having, all for a guy she just met.

As I wrote this, I knew exactly what Kelsey was going through. In fact, I made the choice to move less than a year ago. Unlike Kelsey, my job doesn’t tether me in one place, but I chose love over the slightly warmer climes of Southern Ontario (I currently live just shy of the Arctic Circle). As I wrote Stone Cold Kiss, I had sympathy for Kelsey and her dilemma, even though she was a lot more conflicted about her decision than I was.

What choice does she make? Well I guess you’ll have to read the book to find out. :) Stone Cold Kiss was released today from Lyrical Press, Inc. Learn more about it, read an excerpt, or buy it here.

How many of you have crossed the distance to be with your partner? Would you consider a change of location if it meant being with that special someone?
