Crowd Pleaser -- #Exhibitionist #NewOrleans #FreeReadingFest #Prizes

New Orleans French Quarter

"I love New Orleans!" she sighed, stretching back luxuriously in the chaise on their Rue Royale balcony. Her partner did not reply; his mouth was delightfully busy between her thighs, lapping at the pungent juices that coated her folds and sending electric thrills up her spine.

At twilight, Rue Royale was not as busy as Bourbon Street, a block away. She could hear, faintly, the wail of a saxophone and the intermittent roar of a crowd. Some girl taking off her top, she thought with a satisfied smile, then moaned as her companion probed new depths with his tongue. Here there was no crowd. Still, sightseers and revelers strolled by in twos and threes a few feet below them. Any one of them could look up and see her summer dress bunched around her waist, her diligent husband kneeling between her naked legs.

The exposure thrilled her; she knew that it had the same effect on him. "Eat me, baby," she murmured. "Make me come, right here where anyone could see."

He needed no additional encouragement. He grabbed her butt cheeks and opened her like ripe fruit, sucking hard at her wet, salty flesh. She writhed in his grasp, little gasps escaping her lips each time he raked his teeth over her engorged clit. "Oh, baby, yes, you know what I like, baby!"

Pausing briefly, he buried his nose in her curly muff. The scent drove him wild. "Let's see you, all of you," he said softly. In one motion, he stripped her dress over her head and let it fall. It floated through the curlicues of the ornamented railing, pale in the falling dusk, and onto the street below. If anyone had been passing, the wisp of clothing would have perhaps entangled itself on his head, leading him inexorably to look up. But at that moment, the road was empty.

Now she lay bare before him, her pert breasts, smooth belly, and creamy thighs framing that delicious dark cavern between them. He could not resist suckling the almond nipples that beckoned stiffly. His tongue traced down the hollow between her breasts, across her taut abdomen, and back to her sex, where he dabbled for a while, teasing her. He heard voices below them, the melodious accents of the French language. The French tongue, he thought with a grin, sweeping his from the back of her sex forward and ending with a flick to her center. She sighed and pressed her pelvis toward him.

Suddenly, he wanted more. "Get on your knees, babe," he whispered. "I can't stand it, I've got to fuck you."

Eagerly she obeyed, turning over on the chaise and raising her ass in the air. The yellow gas lights flickered on her skin. Drops of her own moisture glistened on her parted thighs. She reached back between them, stroking herself with two fingers. "I'm so hot, so wet, I can barely hold on," she moaned.

He ripped open his zipper. His cock sprang out, ready for action. Clearly she needed no preparation; he could see her dripping, smell her heat. He plunged himself to the hilt into her exquisitely constricted cunt. She humped herself against his hardness, moaning in time with his thrusts, twisting her hips as she tried to take him deeper.

It didn't take long. She wasn't the most beautiful or most voluptuous woman he had known, but her lascivious joy at being exposed to the world aroused him in a unique way. He wanted everyone to see his abandoned, horny wife, her ass cheeks trembling with each thrust, crying out in animal lust as he plowed her.

The seed rose in his stalk, and he let it come. Though she had both hands on the chaise now, to balance his force, he knew she didn't need any manual stimulation. Dimly, he heard voices and laughter below. He skewered her one last time, as deeply as he could, and let himself explode. As he did, he managed to whisper in her ear: "They're watching us, babe..."

Her climax took her like a whirlwind. She felt his cock inside her, still like stone, the single point upon which her universe turned. She swelled and burst, expanding beyond the confines of her flesh, floating in the mellow evening light. She felt the eyes feasting upon her nakedness, their shock and their desire. She felt embarrassed and aroused and gloriously free.

With the money they were spending on this trip, they could have bought both a new refrigerator and a dishwasher. Never mind. It was their fifth wedding anniversary, and they planned to celebrate in their own way. The tickets to the Super Bowl alone had cost over two hundred dollars apiece. "Money well spent, you'll see," he assured her with a grin as they savored their crawfish etouffée later that evening. They had showered and changed, but when he released his foot from his sandal and began exploring, his toes found damp nakedness between her legs.

The next day they sat quietly in their seats, pretending to watch the game. Neither of them was much of a sports fan. She didn't even know which teams were competing. Every now and again, her husband would get a bit excited as some burly, broad-shouldered guy moved the ball close to the crossed sticks at one end of the field or the other. She would bring his attention back to where it belonged, firmly squeezing the erect cock hidden under the program in his lap. Her own sex was swollen and aching. God, let half-time come soon, she prayed, closing her eyes and squeezing her thighs together.

There was supposed to be a concert at half-time, the Irish band U2. She wondered briefly what twisted media genius had arranged this strange marriage between professional football and rock and roll. She had heard that the Super Bowl was the single largest event in the history of television. Millions of people were watching, all over America, probably all over the world. She licked her lips.

Their tickets included field passes for the concert. As soon as the second quarter ended, they grabbed their blanket and made their way down to the field.

The crowd streamed toward the stage that was being rolled into center field. Nobody noticed the couple establishing themselves at one end, just under the goal posts. He spread the blanket ceremoniously. She knelt down on it, in front of him, and began unfastening his pants.

Of course he was hard; she had kept him that way through the first half of the game, but even if that had not been true, being exposed this way would have brought him fully erect in seconds. Her lips gently encircled his cock, even as she pushed his pants down to bare his ass. He surged in her mouth, and she backed off a bit, licking and nibbling, allowing him to regain control.

He kicked off his trousers and unbuttoned his shirt while as she sucked him. He wore no undergarments. Leaning over her, he unzipped the back of her dress. Her mouth released him just long enough for him to pull it over her head and toss it onto the blanket. Like him, she was bare beneath.

He let her suck him for a while longer, fondling her sweet breasts, listening to the music and the applause. Finally, he couldn't stand any more. "My turn," he said, pushing her onto her back on the blanket and raising her thighs up over her head. Now her whole nether region was exposed, her swollen, damply pouting labia and the crinkled knot of her rear entrance. Delicately, he brushed the tip of one finger over the taut bead of flesh protruding from her folds. Her whole body convulsed in response.

His own rear in the air, he kneeled and began to lick her in long, sensuous strokes. His tongue would begin at her rigid clit and end with a swirl around her anus. Again and again he took this path, delighting in her writhing and her moans. "You look so nasty," he said. He had to speak loudly to be heard above the concert sounds. "Your cunt is sopping, and your asshole twitches every time I touch it. Everyone can see, baby, everybody." The noise from the crowd swelled, as if in response to his words. "I'll bet you'd like me to screw you there, my cock deep in your butt, wouldn't you, here on prime time television?" As if to emphasize his words, he wet his finger in her cunt and then slid it smoothly into her anus.

Her only answer was a moan. She gripped her thighs hard, holding them open for him. Her nails bit into her tender flesh, but she didn't notice. His finger worked her rear passage, that invasion simultaneously painful and thrilling. His tongue flicked rapidly over her clit, bringing her to right to the edge. For a moment she knew nothing but the sensations. She even forgot where they were, forgot her own name, and his.

Then she heard the band, the song, one of her favorites. "She moves in mysterious ways," they sang, and she remembered it all. "Baby, I want to be on top," she cried. "Let me ride you!"

He flipped over and she mounted him, his cock finding no resistance as it slipped into her drenched sex. He seemed larger and harder than he had ever been, and now she was in control. "If you want to touch the sky, better learn how to kneel," the song continued. She rode him fiercely, knowing that in taking her own pleasure she was giving him his.

Her thighs straddled him as she rocked back and forth. He filled and completed her. Her back arched, her honey-brown hair cascading down to her waist. Her fingers found her nipples and twisted hard. She wanted more, more sensation, deeper penetration. They had found their rhythm now, and their bodies rose and fell in unison, their grunts and wails echoing across the field.

Echoing? Simultaneously, they realized that the music had stopped. The crowd was silent. They felt hot lights on their skin, heard the roar of a helicopter coming from afar. The audience had finally noticed the other half-time show going on at the end of the field.

It was all they needed. "Come now, baby," she wailed, as she ground herself down on him. Her insides were flooded with his searing fluids. A climax as hot as the spotlights burned through her body. Together they shook as though rocked by a Gulf hurricane.

They lay panting together on the ground, but only for a moment. All hell had broken loose, whistles and sirens, yelling and stomping feet. He scooped up their clothes, grabbed the blanket and threw it around her shoulders. "Time to split, babe." They raced toward the staff exit that she had found two days before when they first explored the possibilities.

In the utility closet, they clung to each other, laughing and trembling. He kissed her naked, sweaty shoulder, caressed her breasts, cupped her furred mound in his palm. She could feel him hardening once more against her thigh. "Happy Anniversary, baby," she sighed, as his fingers found their way into her sex.

On the plane home the next day, they were a bit subdued. They held hands while they read the newspapers together. "Terrorists!" one columnist screamed. "Immoral spawn of Satan," accused another. They looked at each other, slightly chagrined.

When they switched planes in Chicago, though, they caught a grainy video of themselves being broadcast on CNN. She was hardly recognizable, that slender woman with her hair tangled around her, ferociously slamming her body down on that of her lover. Still, the images ignited them again. His hand surreptitiously groped her ass; she pressed herself back against the bulge in his groin.

The urbane commentator did not seem nearly as upset as the newspapers had been. In fact there was a distinct gleam in his eye. "This was definitely a Super Bowl to remember," he noted dryly. "A real crowd pleaser."

They looked at each other and burst into laughter. Then suddenly a worried expression crossed her face. "What's the matter, hon?" he asked, stroking her hair affectionately.

"Well, I was just thinking," she replied. "Whatever are we going to do for our tenth anniversary?"

Do you hate your job? #giveaway #pnr #NOLA @AuthorKarlaB

Teaser image

By Karla Brandenburg (Guest Blogger)

Have you ever had a job you hated? I’ve been very fortunate in my career to work with great people. I’m a firm believer that a job is a job, and it’s the people you work with who make the difference. For that reason, I’ve been at the day job a looooong time. My bosses have been mentors and have worked with me to make me a better employee, giving me opportunities, and making me a better boss myself (or at least I’d like to think so).

There was one stretch several years ago where we had a boss who was out of touch. He had a very high opinion of himself and looked for ways to make people look bad. The working theory is they brought him in to do the dirty work and “clean house,” a period we affectionately refer to as the reign of terror. As an author, I was able to vent my frustrations by killing him off in one of my novels, but other people weren’t as lucky. Yes, I survived.

People ask me when I find time to write (the day job can be very demanding). My pat answer is that after a particularly stressful day, writing is an escape, a way to relax and unwind. I can empty my head of all the things that are caught inside onto the page, or clear all those things warring for my attention by focusing on something else instead. Reading works the same way. For an hour or two or three I can become someone else, look into someone else’s world. Does the day job cross over into that escape time? Sometimes, for sure (like with our dictator). No, the character I killed off doesn’t even resemble that man, especially after edits, but I know who he represents.

The thing about conflict at work (or anywhere else, for that matter) is it makes for a good story. When someone or something brings about such a strong visceral response, it is likely to resonate with someone else, and the other beautiful thing about being an author is that I can solve those problems! Wave a magic wand and make it all better (but not before it gets much worse!). In a way, I’m like that dictator who presided over our reign of terror. My “night job” is to put my characters in peril, be it physical or emotional. Unlike the dictator, my intentions are good. Like a good boss, I’m challenging my characters to rise above and overcome. I strive for personal growth, not a twisted sense of power brought about by belittling someone else. (My. Does that sound bitter? I guess one never truly gets over a “reign of terror.”)

I have a new release this week, THE ARCHITECT, that focuses on the workplace. No, there are no parallels to my own life with this novel, although in the heroine’s words, her boss is a jerk. Except he’s not. Not really. Well he is… but there’s that character growth thing I was talking about. And it doesn’t help that the heroine has a fiery personality. Let me tell you a little about it:

A high-profile contract in the famed New Orleans Garden District can bring architect Kathleen McCormick’s dream of owning her own home that much closer, but she’ll have to stifle her fiery temper while she’s on location. The senior project manager is a notorious workaholic and the last associate to work with him got fired amid controversy. Still, Kathleen can’t resist the urge to push his buttons.

Sebastian Brooks’ father likes to remind him that he founded his own firm by the time he was thirty. As Sebastian nears that same milestone, he's checking off the boxes for promotion at a more prestigious architectural firm, including contemplating an engagement with an acceptable socialite. The pursuit feels hollow, especially when his boss lobs an attractive, unpredictable new associate into his path to derail his promotion, a woman who reminds him of all the compromises he’s made in the interest of living up to expectations.

A mischievous ghost in a NOLA hotel decides to play matchmaker, but with a strict non-fraternization policy at work, getting involved could get both Kathleen and Sebastian fired. Caught up in the city’s steamy atmosphere, their unexpected connection throws all their plans into a tailspin.

Want to read it? I will gift an e-book version of THE ARCHITECT to one random commenter. Tell me about something that throws chaos into your life, or just stop by to say hello! I love to hear from people!

A Vision of New Orleans (#eroticromance #suspense #firstnovel @AnniFifeAuthor)

Luke's Redemption cover

By Anni Fife (Guest Blogger)

I began writing Luke’s Redemption in June last year. It was one month after I left the city for the beach, and changed my life forever. It was also the first book I had ever written, or even attempted to write. I was able to stave off my panic because I already had my basic plot outlined. The idea came flowing into my head a few nights before my departure. It was around midnight. I don’t know what triggered my creative juices, but suddenly I could hear Katya’s footsteps beating a desperate rhythm down a dark cobble-stoned road in the early hours of the morning. It was dead quiet. New Orleans was hung over from Mardi Gras. As I watched her, I realized I was looking through the scope of a sniper lens. Was I her hunter or her hero? Or both? My story unfurled at such a rapid pace I was terrified I’d fall asleep, and when I woke my idea, like an elusive dream, would be gone. In a mad spin, I turned on my bedside lamp, and spent the next hour typing manically on my iPhone. When I turned off the light, I had the beginnings of my novel. The next time I looked at it was one month later, when I sat down to write.

Completing my debut novel has been a wild journey. Seven months to write it. Two months to edit. Two months to secure a publishing contract. And now here I am, ready for release.

I wrote Luke’s Redemption for my own tastes. So if you like contemporary erotic romances with a lot of angst and some suspense; hot alpha heroes with damage; smart sassy heroines, also with some damage; and burning chemistry that dictates lots of conflict, and even more heat—then why don’t you give this story a go?

Blurb

Red-hot sex. Searing betrayal. A passionate and elusive love…

Chased by her criminal kingpin father, Katya Dalca runs to New Orleans and straight into the arms of Luke Hunter. Sucked into the carnal world of the French Quarter, she succumbs to Luke’s potent sexuality. He not only steals her breath, he steals her heart and the only leverage she has against her father. She is left with no choice except to pick up the pieces and rebuild her life alone.

Undercover DEA agent Luke Hunter thought his newest assignment—recover a stolen flash drive to gain the trust of the Russian mob—was like any other. But his target brings him to his knees, and after one taste of her intoxicating beauty, he's in too deep. Doing his job means walking away, leaving his heart behind with nothing but a promise to reunite. It's a promise he can't keep.

When Katya's past reaches out and her world unravels, her only hope is the one man she is most vulnerable to—Luke.

Excerpt

Luke and I drove alone. Lily insisted she was traveling with Gray and Tane, and clambered into their SUV before anybody could stop her. I didn’t want to argue with Lily. She was still processing the scare of seeing Dani unconscious, and Gray was a safe distraction for her. My distraction was my confrontation with Anna. I asked Luke about the beautiful—but skanky—Russian. All he would say was she worked with Nicu when he was undercover. A tense silence filled the vehicle and for the rest of our drive I mulled over how Anna fitted into the picture. There had been a weird vibe between Luke and Anna that I couldn’t let go of.

Had he used Anna the same way he used me? What could she have had that he needed? Maybe he just liked her!

We pulled into the underground parking at King Security and Luke parked the SUV in line with several other huge black Ford Expeditions. It appeared King Security had its own fleet.

Unable to stop myself, I blurted, “You were with Anna when you were undercover with my father, weren’t you?”

Luke pulled the keys from the ignition. In the deafening silence I didn’t think he was going to answer. Then he turned to me and bit out. “Yes!”

Wow! I didn’t expect him to be so honest. I sat back and folded my arms, tight. Damn, his answer hurt me. “So you make a habit of lying to your women? Being with them while you’re pretending to be someone you’re not? Is that your thing?”

She wasn’t my woman,” Luke growled. “She was just a woman. She was there, I was there. It was never deep and it sure as hell wasn’t forever. Then it was over, and I made certain she was clear of the investigation. That was it.” He leaned towards me and said impatiently, “That tell you what you want to know?”

Not even close. You made love to her didn’t you?”

Hell no!” Luke snarled. “I fucked her. Like I have all the other women in my life. There’s only one woman I ever made love to Katya. And that was you.”

I went rigid, stunned into silence. Luke turned to open his car door. “You didn’t make love to me, Michael did,” I whispered.

He quickly turned back and leaned in close, right up to my face. His breath smelled lightly of coffee. I stopped breathing when his inky gaze drifted from my eyes to my mouth then back again. I felt cornered but also strangely alive. Then in his rough, oh so sexy voice, he replied, “You can wish that as hard as you want, sweetheart, but it was me, Luke, sliding through your innocence, taking everything you had to give. And it was my cock driving you to come, baby. Over and over again!” He stared at me a moment longer, then climbed out of the car, slamming the door closed.

Dreaming in New Orleans -- #pnr #romance

By Elodie Parkes (Guest Blogger)

Thank you for inviting me to your blog today to celebrate my new release with Hot Ink Press, erotic paranormal romance, Deep Dream.

This story concept was originally formed for a proposed series. Now it has been completed revised, lengthened, and re-edited for Hot Ink Press.

Essentially a vampire erotic romance, it also has threads of magic, and taking place in New Orleans, it's set in a music club/rock club, the mysterious StarZ.

Ethan Ross, the vampire hero, has been in New Orleans since his girlfriend and sire, dumped him in 1922. He's used to the weird undercurrents of the city and now works in StarZ that caters to the supernatural folks. His band, Deep Dream, play there. He's tasked with taking care of the 'ordinary humans' that arrive in the club and he does this happily ...

With a broken heart to heal Ethan swore off love long ago ... that is until starry eyed Anna Prideaux wanders into his life.

Then sparks start to fly...

Excerpt

She watched him disappear into the gloom. Anna stood and scooped her phone from the counter. She glanced around to check who might be watching her. When it looked like no one was, she quickly followed Marcus. She quickened her pace as she lost sight of him in the swirling mist at the back of the club’s main room. Marcus disappeared.

When she reached where she’d last seen him a shiver spiked up her back. The mist was freezing cold, the air thick with potent. Anna turned away as a weird fear gripped her. She practically ran back to the bar, weaving through the groups of patrons, and muttering, “Sorry,” as she knocked into one, splashed the drink from the glass of another, until she stood in front of Ethan.

His gaze mesmerized her. She wasn’t even sure she actually heard his voice, but somehow he soothed her.

Anna, it’s time you went home now. You want to go home. You have work to do transcribing the interview with the band. Everything’s fine.”

She smiled at him. “I’m off now. Thank you for answering my questions. Thank Marcus for me. He left.” She gestured toward where she’d run from. A flutter of fear rose in her stomach and then Ethan was leaning forward, his blue eyes capturing her so that she dreamily froze to soak up his low voiced words.

Goodnight, Anna.”

She left the club happily, a faraway feeling carrying her along ...
