First Kiss - #MFRWHooks #BDSM #EroticRomance #MFRWAuthor

Book Hooks Banner

For today’s hook, I’m sharing the first kiss from my favorite romance, The Gazillionaire and the Virgin. Be warned: even my first kisses tend to be at least R-rated!

When you’re done with my hook, I hope you’ll visit some of the other authors participating in today’s blog hop. You’ll find links at the end of this post.

Blurb

Trust can’t be bought—it has to be earned.

Silicon Valley entrepreneur Rachel Zelinsky is not a woman who lets pleasure interfere with business, but when she meets reclusive genius Theo Moore, she can’t resist his geeky appeal. Though Theo’s knowledge about sex derives from extensive research and a stash of kinky porn rather than real-world experience, he is Rachel’s first true Master—and the first man to truly touch her heart.

The Hook

I told you to go easy on the champagne.”

I should have listened to you,” I admit. “But I was so nervous.”

I know,” she says. “I know. I think the stress had as much to do with your collapse as the alcohol.”

I nod. “I used to faint, back when I was at school—when things got really bad. When I couldn’t handle a situation, that was my final escape. Finally my parents pulled me out and got me a tutor. It hasn’t happened since.”

I’m sorry I pushed you so hard, Theo. I should have known better.”

Her hand claims mine, in a gesture so casual and natural it seems unconscious. Does she have any idea what she’s doing to me? Still, remarkably, I have no urge to pull away.

You were doing so well, though. I was so proud of you.” She gives my fingers a squeeze. I squeeze back, amazed that I can be so comfortable with her touching me.

But now I’ve disappointed you, I imagine.” I try sitting up straighter. It’s awkward with only one hand free. I want to adjust the swollen lump pressing against my zipper, but of course I don’t dare. “And the donors—they’re probably all laughing their millionaire heads off at poor, pathetic Theo Moore.”

Not at all. Everyone was quite worried about you. Roger Varley wanted to call an ambulance, but I thought you’d really rather go home.”

You were right. Thank you. But how did you get me up to the second floor and into bed?”

It wasn’t easy.” Her whole face lights up when she laughs. “You’re a big guy. The gardener helped me bundle you up the stairs. I fished the key out of your trouser pocket.”

The concept of her hand wriggling into my pants, her heat warming my body—it’s too much. My cock surges, threatening a premature explosion. I’ve got to get Rachel Zelinsky out of here, before I really embarrass myself.

As gently as I can, not wanting to offend her, I pry my fingers away from hers. “Thank you for your help, Rachel. You can leave now. I’m fine. And it must be late.”

Only ten thirty. Anyway, I’m not going anywhere just yet.” She rises from her chair and perches on the edge of my bed, leaning in my direction, her bare shoulder mere inches from my tensed body. Her musky perfume envelopes me.

I draw a desperate breath. My cock quivers. Clearly my expensive, custom-tailored trousers are doomed.

No, Theo. You and I have some unfinished business to attend to.”

I don’t know how she manages it. It happens too fast for me to analyze. Before I can react or protest, roll off the bed or wriggle away, she has straddled my waist, bent herself double and pressed her soft, firm lips to mine.

I freeze. I don’t dare move a muscle. My hands become claws as I fight the urge to seize her hips and thrust up against the warm fullness of her satin-clad bottom. It’s pure instinct. Nothing could have prepared me for its power. My only recourse is to tighten every muscle in my poor body and hold on.

Her mouth is gentle at first, teasing, exploring. She tastes like the champagne in which I overindulged. As she kisses me, joy bubbles up in my chest, despite the precarious state of my cock. I’m drunk on her nearness. When her agile tongue prods at my tightly compressed lips, I open to let her in, craving more of the scent, the flavor, the texture of Rachel Zelinsky.

My surrender appears to inflame her. Gathering me from the pillow, clutching me to her breast with surprisingly strong arms, she delves deeper. She sucks my tongue into the juicy recesses of her own mouth. I can’t help but think of her other warm, wet places.

Oh my God! I’m leaking into my boxers, poised on the edge of annihilation. It’s glorious, terrifying, sweeter and darker than I’d ever dreamed it could be. Rachel’s kisses steal my breath and my will. Meanwhile she’s swirling her hips in slow circles on my belly, her ripe ass brushing my hardness on each cycle.

First Kisses

By Angela Smith (Guest Blogger)

I love love. I believe in love. I love watching people fall in love and fight falling in love because it just doesn’t figure into their immediate plans, or they’ve been hurt before and don’t want to take that risk again. Most importantly, I love that love can last forever, as I am living proof and some members of my family are living proof.

What’s my favorite part of romance novels? You know … that first kiss. And I love watching that first kiss on the big screen after the building chemistry finally erupts. So I thought it’d be fun to talk about my all-time favorite movie kisses.

Spiderman. Hello? A kiss while hanging upside down? She removes his mask from his lips just enough to kiss him. And Peter Parker is kissing her, but she only thinks she’s kissing Spiderman. I find it intriguing that she isn’t tempted to just remove the mask and find out who he is, but I guess it’s the mystery of not knowing that keeps her from doing so.

And I can’t leave out The Amazing Spiderman. It’s probably even better how he grabs her and twirls her around with his web then tells her to shut up because all he can think about is his mouth on hers.

Top Gun! Okay, maybe her driving is a little reckless and if anyone actually did that in real life, it might not end too well, so I don’t recommend actually doing it. But how could you not fall in love with that first kiss?

The Notebook. Probably one of the most romantic stories ever. And the most romantic love scene. Enough said.

One that I can definitely watch over and over again is Crazy Stupid Love. How Hannah goes in the bar to find Jacob and … wow. The music, the setting, the scene, everything about that first kiss is sexy.

It might not be a kiss, but it’s a look. You know that special look that every woman craves, whether they like romance or not. The Parent Trap has a great first look, when Nick sees Elizabeth (when he sees her for the first time when he’s in the elevator and goes looking for her later) and actually falls into the swimming pool when he’s trying to get to her.

And ahh … Noah and Allie. Who makes a better couple? First, when Noah gets up on the Ferris wheel to get Allie to pay attention to him. And later, when Allie comes back to that special house and yes, he gives her that look.

Ok, so now I’ll mention Jacob and Bella in Twilight. That first curious look was kind of adorable, and definitely memorable.

Moments like these are what inspire me to write romance. Sometimes when I’m feeling particularly uncreative, I’ll watch movies to get my romantic groove back. Of course, I love reading romance, but it’s nice to watch and not have to think too hard.

So tell me: what is your favorite kiss moment? Leave a comment with your email address and I will enter you into a drawing to win Final Mend, which is the third and final book in my series.

Burn on the Western Slope is the first and for a limited time, that book is part of a 10-book romantic suspense bundle, called Racing Hearts: 10 thrilling suspense novels. These ten ebooks for only $.99 offer us ten first-kisses. Here’s an excerpt of the first kiss between Garret and Reagan in my novel, Burn on the Western Slope:

She glanced at him, then moved her gaze to the canyon. “Oh my God, look!” She dropped the thermos and grasped his arm, pointing in the direction of an elk. The animal glanced up, stared at them, and slowly wandered away. “How beautiful.”

Things couldn’t have gone more perfect if he’d been trying to seduce her. Which he wasn’t, exactly. “Yes, it is,” he said, studying her. The way her hair wisped out of her cap and curled the rest of the way down her shoulders, the way her eyes lit up with the beauty of the earth. He stroked a strand of her hair and brought it to his lips. “I’ve never seen anything more beautiful.”

She turned to him, her lips red and eyes dark. He cupped the back of her neck with his hand and claimed her mouth, tasting chocolate and mint. His stomach coiled in longing and pain as the silk of her tongue twined with his. He wanted her in his bed. Or her bed. Or any bed. Or right here in the snow. Hell, he didn’t care as long as he had her, and the sooner the better, before he had to take matters into his own hands, quite literally.

About Me

During my senior year in high school, I was dubbed most likely to write a novel because I always had my nose stuck in a book. Writing has been my dream ever since my mother read Brer Rabbit to my sister and me so often that we were able to recite it back to each other before actually learning to read.

I love reading about the adventure of love, and getting involved in the legal field developed my love of suspense. I believe the whole act of love is a mystery that most people have trouble resolving. In real life, there are many barriers to love. Falling in love, staying in love, building trust, blending families, and many other emotional walls we erect that might keep us from totally connecting.

Love always seems to have some type of mystery to weed through in order to get to the good stuff. I enjoy using these barriers in fiction and creating barriers for my characters to break through and discover love while learning something about themselves in the process.
While I don’t expect we’ll ever solve the mystery of love, I hope my novels will offer you entertainment while my characters fight to solve their love’s mystery.

Five-Star Review by Romance Junkies:

"My favorite part: wait until you get to their first kiss. Never in the history of romance novels has there been a kiss like it. The second kiss leads to even better things."

And now an excerpt including that raved-about first kiss....

Later in the evening, Daniel slipped out to the patio for a reprieve—just a few moments of peace. The wide balcony overlooked the east side of campus with the lights of town beyond, backed by the night shadows of the mesa. He inhaled. Even here, amid streets, buildings, miles of surrounding commercial and residential neighborhoods, the scent of the uncivilized desert predominated. Its stillness soothed him.

“So there you are.”

He turned, startled. Andrea stepped into view, stunning in Pamela’s dress. He’d seen her in it all evening, but not in the moonlight like this.

He struggled for composure. He hadn’t expected anyone to join him here, especially Andrea. She was a hit at the dinner, a fresh young woman, as smart as the stuffy regulars, but piercingly direct and good humored.

“Is everything all right?” he asked.

“Sure.” She stepped toward him. “Except my date ditched me.”

“I didn’t think you needed me in there.”

Her eyes glinted. “So, you tired of the crowd?”

He laughed. She could not have nailed it much better. “Let’s just say I’ve already been to enough meetings, dinners, and functions of all kinds with this group to fill a lifetime.”

She stood next to him now at the railing and stared across the campus. “It’s a pretty school.”

He shrugged. “It has its charms.”

A subtle hint of perfume mingled seamlessly with the desert breeze. Amazing. Most of the women inside seemed anxious to disguise or completely cover up the smell and feel of the dry desert environment. But Andrea, who had never lived in the climate or even visited the desert before, chose a fragrance that accepted it and even complimented its arid beauty.

“Not all fake Ivy-League like the U,” she explained.

He smiled. “No. And if you have a thing for adobe and stucco then you can really learn to love it.”

She turned, leaning back against the railing. “The people seem nice,” she ventured. “I don’t really know why you left. Just because they didn’t support the dig? It seems you could’ve worked it out with these folks.”

Daniel could not tear his gaze from her profile and the bare shoulders just touched by soft and inviting golden-brown hair. But he was held by more than that. All of her qualities were admirable. Not only was she fascinatingly attractive, and perhaps even in spite of it, she was brilliant and clear minded, and she loved her work.

“They um…” Daniel’s throat thickened, as if he were trying to talk underwater. There was something about her—something between them that transcended this project, he knew. He’d been avoiding it. He wanted no complications during the dig. But that was only part of the problem. The fact was, he didn’t want to draw her too far into his private quest. He couldn’t do that to her. Not now, not at this critical juncture with her career poised to launch. It was bad enough that she was the project leader, and he hoped she didn’t have to explain that away the rest of her life after he finally published his findings. But why then, if he felt that way, did he recruit her? She was clearly in the running for a post at a good school. This project, once the controversy surfaced, was not a good stepping stone on that path. Did he really think if he kept her role limited that it could minimize the fallout to her career?

It had been different for him. He didn’t work so hard for his opportunities. He had been young when he reached that point. Just eighteen, still a kid. He met Madeline and willingly abandoned most of the career courses Andrea should follow. He was committed to his project. He never saw it as a choice. But how could he lead Andrea down the same path—especially after she worked so hard for so many years to gain a solid foothold in academia?

Andrea’s brow furrowed with contemplation and she turned to him. “I think you should have just stuck to your guns here. They like you more than you know.”

He drew a breath. “Not all of them.”

She lowered her chin. “You’re about as likeable as they get.”

He smiled, and without thinking, touched her hand. She didn’t retreat. The air warmed with electricity. A remnant of his rational mind searched for a response to her statement—a quip, a compliment, a rebuttal…anything. But the futile effort was overshadowed by the sharpening of his senses, an awakening triggered by her presence and warm touch.

“I uh…”

She turned to face him squarely. He touched her arm, feeling the impossible softness of her skin. Her hand touched his stomach and slide to his waist. Her expression shifted. Her eyes surveyed his face. Was she searching for resistance or its opposite? He didn’t know. He wasn’t sure he cared. But he could tell that this closeness was something they’d both thought about before.

The moment grew, nearly eclipsing all else. He knew in his mind and heart that if he didn’t embrace her now, the moment could vanish forever. His heart pounded. He did not weigh options. This was not a matter of choice. It was roaring compulsion. He leaned close. He felt the heat of Andrea’s cheek, her warm breath. Their lips brushed across each other. Daniel savored the soft pass once, twice, then opening slightly more and connecting, pressing, tasting and melding. His chest filled with fire. The world fell away. He reached around her, pulling her close. She nestled in, leaving no gap.

He felt no barrier between them. His lips touched her nose, her cheek, the crook of her neck. He returned to her lips and they tasted each other again. Andrea mewed. It felt right to be lost in her touch and her breath. Their chests heaved together. Their embrace softened. Daniel roamed the curve of her spine. She responded with equal, soft passion. He felt the release of a long, satisfied sigh.

They touched foreheads.

He smiled. She giggled lightly.

A rough, “Ahem,” broke the moment like shattered crystal. They weren’t alone.

Eyes widened, they released their holds and turned.

“I don’t mean to disturb you.”

Daniel regained his bearing. William Lassiter and Morgan Hamilton stood near the patio door holding cocktail tumblers.
