Charlie needs someone who can understand him. A person to cherish him. Male or female, he doesn’t care. He’s intrigued by Nike’s statue. Call him infatuated. But she’s a statue and they don’t come to life from true love’s kiss, do they?

Try it.” Zelus nodded. “It’s not hard stuff. Just wine from Olympus.”

Oh Jesus. He’d heard this line of bullshit before. His friends wanted to sell their story about Olympus, but he wasn’t buying. He refused to drink. “If I down that, I might believe you and there’s no way that’s happening.”

Kay shrugged. “It’ll make you feel better.”

To know you’re lying or to get drunk?” Charlie asked. “Olympus, Gods, statues … it’s not right to dick with people.”

Bia took a swig. “I get it.” She stayed beside him. “You think things are one way, then they go sideways. We keep trying to convince you to believe us, but we don’t show you what’s real.” She rested her head on his shoulder. “You’re right to be concerned.”

Yeah.” He didn’t understand, but she seemed to care. He took the flask. Maybe drinking would help. He’d forget his problems for a while. Sure, the issues would still be there, but he’d have a respite. He tipped his head back and the sweet liquid slid down his throat. The drink reminded him of apples, but with spice. Not cider, though. His mouth chilled, but the liquid warmed his soul. His head swam. “I should stop.” He downed another swig. “Really.” But he wanted more.

Then stop.” Kay took the flask. “Feel better?”

Not really.” He leaned back against the foot of the statue. If he wasn’t mistaken, her foot felt warm. Real. Not possible. This had to be a figment of his imagination or a result of the drink. His mind was playing tricks on him. But why was he so horny all the sudden? Booze never made him want to hump everything in sight.

Let’s get you home.” Zelus offered his arm. “Come on.”

No.” He shook his head and blinked. “Did you drug me?”

It’s the nectar of the gods.” Camden laughed. “Not drugs. Good, though, isn’t it?”

It’s wine.” Andy helped Zelus hoist Charlie to his feet. “The wine amplifies your heart’s desire. You’re not drunk, I promise.”

He allowed them to help him to stand, but he shook his head. Life seemed to slow down. He blinked again. The horniness increased. He wriggled free from the guys. Neither could help him with his suddenly overactive libido. All six individuals were taken and none of them turned him on. “I don’t get it. There’s something wrong with me. I can’t find anyone to love me.” Why was he telling them this? He whooped, then faced the statue. “I bet I can’t even turn this statue on.” He hopped onto the base of the sculpture, standing nose to nose with the woman. “See?” He kissed her. “Think you can love me, baby? I’ll fuck you senseless, but I want to wear your clothes and have you fuck me, too. Isn’t that messed up?” He kissed the statue again. “See?” He glanced back at his friends. “She isn’t interested. No one is.” Oh well. Love, even with a statue wasn’t in his future. Such was life…

Can a wolf shifter and a were-jaguar build a future? #MMRomance #Giveaway #shifters @MeganSlayer

Book cover

Blurb

Opposites can attract, but can they make the love last?

Dillon came to the Sanctuary to hide, but also to heal. He’d been abused and needed a safe place to come into his own. He never expected to find a partner, but love came looking for him. Can he accept what he deserves or will he push away a chance at forever because he feels unlovable?

Cinders knows from the moment he sees Dillon that he wants the wolf shifter for his own. But can a jaguar shifter and a wolf shifter really pair up? He doesn’t know, but he’s banking on the attraction to pay off. What he doesn’t expect is how deep Dillon’s scars run. Is he strong enough to see beyond what’s happened to Dillon and help create a future for them together?

Anything’s possible when the jaguar shifter, a former stripper, and the wolf shifter figure out how to restore his howl.

Excerpt

He spotted a black form moving in the grass. He hunched down and studied the animal. A jaguar. He should know the big cat by sight but didn’t know which shifter it was. The more the jaguar moved, the more Dillon watched. He couldn’t help himself. The black feline moved with grace and seemed to be showing off. The jaguar mesmerized Dillon. He’d seen plenty of big cats and knew there were at least two other jaguars on the property. Fifteen lions, four tigers, three jaguars, a bobcat shifter and six humans were currently at the Sanctuary—but he only knew a couple of them.

Something stirred within Dillon. Longing? Desire? A little bit of both? He didn’t think he could be loved because of the damage to his body and soul, but he wanted someone to care for him. To care about him. To see beyond his past and accept him. Was that even possible? Once others learned what he’d done and how often, they’d run the hell away from him and for good reason. He hadn’t been in control of himself, but did that matter? Maybe not, but he wanted a mate, and he had to hope they’d be able to give him a chance.

Mate… He snorted. Another wolf would be the best option, so why was he watching the jaguar? The wolf should be in charge and finding another wolf. Did the wolf crave the jaguar? Maybe. His human side definitely wanted the big cat. Well, no… The human side wanted to meet the human within the jaguar.

Christ. No, he couldn’t meet the shifter. What was he thinking? Not only would he wreck the fantasy, but he’d have to let in the person. Closeness meant the possibility of being hurt or abandoned. Hell, no.

Aren’t you a pretty boy?”

He froze. He’d forgotten about watching the jaguar the moment he’d gotten wrapped up in his mind. The big cat was nowhere in sight. Shit, shit, shit. He knew the voice, though. Cinders. Of course, the jaguar was the stripper. How had he not figured that out? Because he hadn’t been paying attention. He was now.

Written Together by @WendiZwaduk -- #BDSM #eroticromance #giveaway

Written Together cover

Blurb

What if the woman he needs is the one he thought was out of his league?

Adam Pallas knows what he wants out of life—to teach history, to be happy and to have a hot woman by his side. He’s got one out of the three. He should be happy, but he’s not. There’s one woman who grabs his attention every time. The catch? She’s very much out of his league. Can being himself actually snag him the woman of his dreams?

Melissa Murphy isn’t looking for love, but every time she sees Adam her plans go sideways. The English teacher knows there’s a confident, hot man hiding behind the slightly nerdy history buff façade. But her past and the things she wants between the sheets tend to scare men off. She believes the odds may be stacked against them. Could it be their lives are perfectly written together after all?

Excerpt

Her thoughts drifted to Adam. He tried so hard to please people and deserved a happy ending. The image of him when he’d stood up before the run remained in her brain. She shouldn’t be thinking about the outline of his junk in those shorts, but damn. He sure seemed to be packing. She liked the way she felt in his arms, too. The right height, the right build…and his smile. He’d brought up her ex. Thinking about Kevin set her teeth on edge. Smug bastard. He always seemed to think he knew the right thing to say and do. Except he didn’t know a damn thing.

You look lost in serious thought.” Adam stood in her doorway. “You okay?”

She jerked in her seat. “I didn’t hear you.” This time she blushed. “I’m fine.”

He nodded once, then folded his arms. For the first time, she noticed the muscle definition in his biceps. Given a tight T-shirt and jeans, he’d be darned hot. She shivered. Real hot.

We’ve got a meeting in ten. Dennis wanted to introduce the new teachers. We just have to fill the space.”

You don’t need the word just.” She took her glasses off the top of her head and stood, then stretched. “It’s redundant.”

Thank you, Miss Murphy.” He unfolded himself. “Do I need to do time in detention?”

Man, did he know how to read her without even realizing he could. She crossed the room and stood face-to-face with him. “Mr. Pallas, are you coming on to me?”

The tips of his ears burned, but the grin deepened. “Yes, I believe I was. Is it working?”

It is.”
