Charity Sunday for Planned Parenthood - #prochoice #YouKnowMe #CharitySunday

Charity Sunday banner

Once again, it’s the last Sunday of the month. Here at Beyond Romance that means it's Charity Sunday.

My charity for this month is a no-brainer. Given the outrageous attempts over the last few weeks to outlaw abortion, of course I’m going to send this month’s donation to Planned Parenthood. PPA has been working to provide reproductive health care and scientifically sound health information to women (and men) in the US for more than 100 years.

In fact, even if you are morally opposed to abortion, you should still support PPA. The organization works hard to prevent abortions, by helping women plan their pregnancies. PPA also provides testing, counseling and treatment for sexually transmitted diseases including HIV, which can threaten not only a mother but her unborn child.

Check out the long list of services PPA offers and I'm sure you'll agree they're a worthy cause.

Anyway – you probably know how this works by now. I’ll give you a sexy excerpt to thank you for participating. Leave me a comment; for every comment I receive, I’ll donate one dollar to my chosen charity.

My excerpt today is from Citadel of Women, Book 2 of my Asian Adventures series.

Passion flares among the ruins of an ancient empire

When her lover severs their relationship just before a long-planned trip to Angkor Wat, Doa stubbornly decides to travel alone. The marvelous sights of the ancient Khmer empire do little to heal the rift in her heart. Che, the mercurial young tour guide, senses her loneliness and offers her comfort and passion. Their connection is far more than physical – but how can two people from such different worlds share a future?

I’ll give away a free copy of this book to one person who leaves a comment. So be sure to include your email address!

Excerpt

A soft knocking at the door jolted me back to reality. I clutched at the sheet, my heart slamming against my ribs. Maybe whoever it was would go away. The knock came again, more insistent.

Doa? Are you awake?”

I didn't have to answer it. If I didn't answer, he'd have to leave. Wouldn't he? But was that what I wanted?

I grabbed the batik sarong I'd bought in Bangkok, wrapped it around my body and tied it over my breasts. Liquid trickled down the inside of my thighs as I padded to the door. Musk hovered in the sticky air.

I opened the door. Che stood there, barefoot, clad in a T-shirt and boxer shorts. His hair was tousled. His eyes burned.

I couldn't sleep,” he murmured. He stepped into the room. I closed the door behind him.

His arms snaked around me, pulling me to his chest. He was stronger than he looked. He nuzzled my neck, licked his way up to my ear lobe and flicked at it with his tongue. A bolt of pleasure shot through me, targeting my pussy. He silenced my moan with his mouth, capturing mine in a wet kiss. I tasted the beer we'd drunk, the chilies he'd eaten.

I let my arms clasp his slender body to my riper one, accepting what he offered. My rational self warned I'd regret this. When I grasped his rigid cock through the well-worn shorts, his groan drowned out the voice of caution.

As I stroked his hardness, he unknotted my sarong. His hands sought the weight of my breasts. He cradled them, kneading my ripe flesh and tracing voluptuous circles around my nipples. Warm honey flowed through my limbs. I pulled the threadbare boxers down over his lean hips so I could sample his nakedness. A musky funk rose from his privates. His cock was long like his fingers, slender and graceful as the rest of him, and harder than the stones of the ancient city. Wrapped in skin as soft and delicate as a baby's, it pulsed in my hand, alive with need.

Please don't forget to comment! Every comment helps women control their own bodies and raise healthy children.

This is such a worthy and timely cause. Thirty years ago, I was a a teenage mom. And coming from a strict religious household—you can imagine how well that announcement went over. But aside from that, though I don't regret having any one of my children, I do wish that I'd waited until I was more mature to handle it.

And you are so right, Lisabet, the deplorable things going on in the United States, is shocking and frightening. I can't believe we are still having this conversation and that these idiots have the power to set such dangerous precedents and laws. It's 2019, FFS!

Thank you for shining the spotlight on Planned Parenthood, Lisabet.

A timely post in the current climate of old white guys telling women how to take care of their bodies. Planned Parenthood has been there through thick and thin for women, especially those without sufficient means. Thank you!

Thanks so much for doing this, Lisabet. PP is the BEST of this country. What a messed up world we live in when personal prosperity is all that matters and anyone who is decent and helps others is held up to ridicule.

I'm a big fan of Planned Parenthood and donate myself when I can! Thank you for doing this and for spreading the truth. I think quite a few people don't know everything Planned Parenthood does!

Thanks to everyone who commented! I'm about to go make a $15 donation to Planned Parenthood. Meanwhile, the winner of my giveaway is (drumroll, please...) Debby!

I'll do another Charity Sunday on the 23rd.

Actually - I decided to add another $10. As a birthday gift to Mr. Trump!

AND - when I went to the PPA site, I discovered that all donations are doubled until June 30. So if you're thinking of donating yourself -- do it now!
