Blurb

Hospital porter Aaron Miller isn’t expecting a very exciting birthday. He and his doctor boyfriend, Blake Colville, are working opposite shifts, leaving Aaron to go home to an empty house and the prospect of another shift the following day. Just as he’s leaving work, however, an unexpected sexy encounter in a supply cupboard leaves him feeling in a much more celebratory mood. And an impending dirty weekend away with Blake just puts the icing on the non-existent cake. But who needs cake when you’re dating a dominant doctor?

Excerpt

Of course. And would you like any more drinks while you’re waiting?”

Aaron glanced at his wine glass. It was still half full, and he planned to make it last. The weekend was his birthday treat, and he didn’t have to drive anywhere, so theoretically he could have as much alcohol as he liked. But given the implication that he and Blake would be playing later, he’d refrain. The two of them had an unwritten rule that if they were going to get kinky, then one alcoholic drink beforehand was the maximum. It kept them both safe and happy. And, given the choice, Aaron would rather be on his knees for Blake, submitting to his wishes, than getting drunk. The former, as well as having a dark and delicious high all its own, didn’t give him a hangover, either. So for him, it was a win-win situation.

Not for me, thank you,” he said.

Blake quirked an eyebrow, the tiniest of indications that he’d understood the reason behind Aaron’s decision. “No, thank you. I’m good. We have the carafe of water.”

Very good, sirs.” The waiter gave a nod, then spun neatly on his heel and headed for the kitchen to place their orders.

As soon as he was out of earshot, Blake looked at Aaron. “No more wine, huh?” His tone, to anyone else, would have come across as completely casual. He was just asking a simple question. But to Aaron, it was laden with meaning. As in: so you want to play later, do you? Well, that can most certainly be arranged.

Thrills skated up and down Aaron’s spine, and the hairs on the back of his neck stood up. He fought to keep his composure. After a second or two, he managed to reply. “No, no more wine. I’m good with what’s left in my glass.”

Continuing to stare at Aaron, his eyes betraying the desire he felt, Blake said, “Mmm-hmm. Me too. I’m very much looking forward to my meal. It’s great that we’ve both had something different for each course, so we can sample each other’s.”

His words were so innocent, but the look in Blake’s eyes gave the few sentences a heavy undertone. There was no double entendre to his words—except maybe the part about sampling each other’s—but Aaron just knew, in his heart of hearts, that the moment they got back to their luxurious hotel and their beautiful four-poster bed, there would be trouble. Of the most arousing, erotic, kinky kind. The very kind he liked best.

Aaron nodded in acknowledgement of Blake’s words. Then, reaching for his wine glass, he sipped slowly at the remaining liquid, which took an incredible amount of willpower. The anticipation now coursing through his veins made him want to gulp the booze to steady his nerves, but he refused to give in, to let his true feelings come to the surface.

Not that he could hide them from Blake, not really. He had an amazing knack for knowing—or at least having a real sense for—what was going through Aaron’s head. It was a combination of skill, and just knowing Aaron so well. They had been together almost a decade, after all. If they didn’t know each other inside out by now, then they never would.

As his mind tagged onto that thought, it strengthened Aaron’s resolve. Yes, Blake knew him well, could often guess at his thoughts, feelings and wants, but it went both ways. Aaron had a pretty good idea what was going on in Doctor Blake Colville’s head, too.

And right now, he suspected that if he gave even the slightest hint that he wanted to skip dinner and head back to the hotel immediately, Blake would agree. The way he was smouldering away, all tall, dark and brooding, in his chair made that perfectly plain. He was feeling just as horny as Aaron was.

Therefore, Aaron would keep his mouth firmly closed. Blake had gone to lots of trouble to sort out their evening in the lovely restaurant, so Aaron was determined to make the most of it, to enjoy the cuisine created by the Michelin-starred chef’s team. Possibly even the chef himself—who knew?

Three delicious, drawn-out courses in a sumptuous setting promised to be sublime. Add in a healthy dollop of anticipation, two very active imaginations, and two horny, virile, and incredibly-hot-for-each-other men, and the result was a heady combination indeed.

Returning his now-empty glass to the table, Aaron surreptitiously slipped his hand to his crotch to rearrange his increasingly uncomfortable cock, which was reacting in the usual way to all the mental stimulation. It didn’t help much. There were only two ways he was going to become more comfortable: lose the erection, or free it from its fabric prison. Neither seemed achievable, so Aaron sat back in his chair and gave a lazy smile, content in the knowledge that Blake was likely in a similar predicament.

Two hard cocks with nowhere to go.

Aaron’s smile widened. It was going to be a very interesting evening. Very interesting indeed.
